Workshop on Skill India and Startup India

Social Development Club, during its regular and rigorous communication with various PIAs from throughout the country we observed below points, which should not be ignored, if we, the people of India really want to contribute in skill development mission:

1. Government of India and its affiliated agencies are working hard and developing various ambitious projects in skill development with a respectively tough target to train millions of Indian youth and the role of agencies became more crucial in achieving these targets.
2. To achieve the targets and desired results India needs more and more effective training delivery partners at even grassroots level.
3. But small players like VTPs, NGOs, and private sector players are not able to get connected with SSCs or ministries to be a part of this Nation-wide mission.
4. Small and medium sized organizations also face certain challenges in understanding the scope of project, project requirement, mobilization, placement linkages, technological requirements, empanelment and bidding procedures and lacking at information level itself.
5. The stakeholders even don’t have an idea about NSQF, NOS, QPs and other milestones defined by various esteemed agencies.
6. Whether big or small, almost all the organizations are facing challenges specifically in mobilization and placement linkages.
7. Apart from above mentioned issues small/medium sized organizations also face certain challenges in understanding the scope of project, project requirement, mobilization, placement linkages, technological requirements, bidding procedures etc.
8. So the main objective of workshop is to address all the issues mentioned above in coordination with various stakeholders.
