Experience nature-inspired artwork in a variety of mediums and interpretations at the 26th annual Sitka Art Invitational on November 2-3. This exhibit and sale, held in Miller Hall at the World Forestry Center, showcases 350+ works of art by more than 130 Northwest artists. This exhibit features a variety of sculpture, ceramics, paintings, metalwork, glass, drawings and prints. Artist Talks are scheduled on the hour and half hour. Sales revenues are shared 50/50 to provide equal support to the artistic community and to Sitka’s Workshop and Residency Programs on the Oregon coast.
The 2019 show will include leading Northwest figures such as Ruth Armitage, Frank Boyden, Charissa Brock, Ivan Carmona, Victoria Christen, Michael de Forest, Sheryl Funkhouser, Yuji Hiratsuka, George Johanson, Hilary Pfeifer, William Park, Margaret van Patten and LeBrie Rich. Pacific Northwest artists were selected by a committee and invited to participate based on their use of nature and ecology themes in their work.
