WHAT: Morehouse College will host a free public screening of Shared Legacies: The African American-Jewish Civil Rights Alliance on the anniversary of MLK Jr’s death on Tuesday evening, April 4, 2023, at Morehouse College’s Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel and will be moderated by Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence, Executive Director, Spill the Honey and hosted by Lawrence Edward Carter, Sr. Ph.D., Dean of the Chapel, Morehouse College. Doors open at 6 p.m., the screening starts at 7 p.m.
With divisive seeds of hate taking root in our American landscape, a new generation affirms their pledge to actively promote the values of social justice. This potent, inspiring story of unity, empathy and partnership validates the ubiquity of the human experience, and how freedom and equality for all can be achieved only when people come together.
