IFRS 15 ‘Revenue From Contracts With Customers’ is effective for reporting periods starting on or after 1 January 2018. IFRS 15 provides the principles to follow when deciding when to recognise revenue and how much revenue to recognise, apart from the information about revenue that entities should disclose in the financial statements. This six-hour seminar, split in two sessions, will first tackle the overall impact of IFRS 15 including the reasons behind its advent. The standard contains an important 5-step process. For each step, significant considerations may need to be made. The seminar will provide numerous examples illustrating how to tackle each step of the five-step process. In the second session, several practical situations, for which guidance has been included in IFRS 15, shall be covered.
