In the face of the global pandemic, we are heading towards majorly remote working models, as the future of knowledge work. But in such a model, synchronous communication becomes difficult and hence the aspect of psychological safety becomes paramount. Despite the freedom allowed by remote work, it is much more difficult to create psychologically safe places because we lose out on the proximity of the office environment where it is much easier to create and sustain connections.
