Online Writing Bootcamp - Day 1

Writing Skills are the building blocks of effective communication. It is the fundamental criterion by which one's intelligence is assessed in several areas. Yet, not many of us pay considerable attention or make substantial attempts to burnish these. 

Professionally, a huge emphasis is placed on written sagacity. It often forms your first impression and is a perceived measure of intelligence. This could be your CV, a questionnaire, cover letter or even a short email. Balancing technical proficiency and creative communication with your words is an art that can be learned.

In recognition of the abundance, need & significance of effective writing in both the personal & professional world, Girl Power Talk presents to you its 2-day Business Writing Bootcamp with Catherine Traffis, the former contributor at Grammarly and the Managing Editor at Girl Power Talk. This will be an engaging, free-of-cost virtual session designed exclusively for young minds to discover their competence within the field of writing. 

The session will be held over two days, with each day focusing on a different forum. The first part of the workshop will be held on 13th January 2022 followed by the second session on 15th January 2022

Day 1:

Learn how to get started with writing while using technology with your support from our team at Girl Power Talk 

Over the course of the bootcamp, we will talk about:

• Overcoming the writing block to get started with any writing piece.

• Researching effectively and writing with clarity.

• Leveraging technology to support your writing while not depending on it.  

Day 2:

Keeping the excitement and energy from the previous session, it is time to dive into real Business Writing. We'll also introduce some of the most common mistakes to avoid while writing.

Learning Objectives:

• Optimize your LinkedIn Profile & Resume.

• Importance of SEO in a professional writing piece.

• Writing emails that create a glorious first impression.

We aim to have a lot of fun & learn extensively throughout these hours.
