The biggest engineering festival for students in Singapore is back!
The National Engineers Day (NED) is an annual event for the young and young at heart to learn, discover and be amazed by engineering, and will be held from 12 to 21 November 2020.
From artificial intelligence and 5G to drones and virtual reality, NED promises to ignite the imagination of students in engineering across diverse fields including energy, defence, aerospace, communications and even nuclear and space research.
For the first time, NED is going virtual and will take place over 7 days so that students from across Singapore can participate from the comfort of their homes.
Themed ‘Transform the Future through Engineering’, NED 2020 will allow students from primary to tertiary levels to experience the marvels of engineering and explore the endless opportunities residing in an engineering career.
The virtual event comprises an exciting line-up of FREE-to-attend online talks, workshops and activities including:
In addition, from now till 21 November 2020, students can also take part in a series of quizzes, contests and giveaways hosted on the Facebook page of the organiser, The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES). Prizes include Lomography cameras, other cool gadgets, gift cards and more!
Launched in 2010, NED is organised by IES as an annual event to celebrate the achievements of engineers, inspire young engineers and intrigue students in engineering. Over the years, IES has grown NED in scale, content and reach with the support of tertiary institutions, government agencies, engineering organisations and industry experts.
