INTRODUCTION

A means of making a living is called livelihood. It refers to people, their capabilities, their assets (both material and social), their income and activities required for a means of living such as food access in a household. Development agents are required to have proven skills in livelihood assessments in order for them to be able to identify the most appropriate livelihood interventions.
