I will check on Phantasy Star Online 2 in a month

Well I am bummed, I wanted to  meseta pso2 play with the NA version but I'm having a wide range of issues on PC. I tried installing it via the MS Shop on a secondary driveway and it dropped a whole lot of files from the main directory of the drive (probably MS Shop stuff) and then some info in my Documents directory. I uninstalled it and it didn't seem to eliminate anything, and that I had to fiddle about with permissions to get all of the stuff in the root directory to delete. Tried installing through the shop and it keeps saying"Something happened on our end. I'm frustrated that Microsoft can't work out without dumping crap wherever it wants, how to install apps on a drive in 2020. I guess I will check on Phantasy Star Online 2 in a month.

If you are prepared to give it another try, I'd recommend using PSO2 Tweaker. That supports installing on drives. Should you go this route, you'll want to join the PSO2 Discord server and read the directions on doing this carefully, as it is somewhat wonky evading the Store Install route. I rebooted my pc and it is downloading from the MS Store. I found the PSO2 Tweaker devs additional support for NA link, so I will try it using the initial download in the MS shop and see if Tweaker will update it. I opened the PSO2 Tweaker I and it's currently downloading and installing the NA version for me personally. Neat!

What I need to know is how they will handle accounts on other platforms (Steam)... am I will have to begin over or will I be able to connect my XB account I've been playing on PC with and continue? If I will need to start over and lose the money/time I have already spent then I'm going to stop playing before the Steam version is available because I don't like how Microsoft handles accounts and the purchases. Not true, never really had a problem with conducting Halo MCC. Halo utilizes Phantasy Star Online 2 Bar, which doesn't bugger out every couple days. Gambling Services that PSO2 uses differs. Gaming Services is cancer and never functions + demands script which takes reboot to un/reinstall (I hate rebooting and should not need to, as a linux enthusiast ffs), Game Bar behaves.

Just saying, its still. I am not saying we all know for certain it WON'T happen but when you consider that: the current NA version already has ratings. Previous Phantasy Star games consistently had EU and NA share servers. The NA version has EU Privacy Laws compliant and also has a'participant spoken language' setting (what language YOU use to talk, now its only Japanese and English, but more might be added). Simply making the NA variant that is recent a version seems more likely as well as potential.

The reasoning was SEGA's need to have the ability to handle their JP version without having to worry about the Western market. The couple of times they talked about this they cited being able to deliver place exclusive upgrades after all... in PSO2's situation, they didnt need to be paying for global rights to collab nor to consider whether collabs with specific businesses like Dawson or any vague anime would be relevant to the Western players to justify the cost of global rights. The Japanese version is wanted by SEGA what would appeal to PSO2 Meseta for sale and to be its own thing targeted at the marketplace.
