Hazel McCallion Walk for Health for Trillium Health Partners

The Hazel McCallion Walk for Health will return to Port Credit Memorial Park on Sunday, June 4th to celebrate the incredible life of Hazel McCallion.

In honour of the late Hazel McCallion’s incredible contributions to support health care in the West GTA, The Hazel McCallion Walk for Health will return this year to celebrate the life and legacy of Trillium Health Partners’ Honorary Guardian and raise funds for the hospital she loved so much to ensure every member of the community has access to the health care they need.

The second annual edition of The Hazel McCallion Walk for Health will fundraise to help Trillium Health Partners build the largest hospital in Canada, the future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital.

The vastly expanded hospital will provide a new, best-in-class facility with over 950 beds, more surgical capacity and one of the largest emergency departments in Ontario to care for our growing community.

Last year, the event sold out early with thousands of community members and health care workers coming together to raise over half a million dollars for Trillium Health Partners. Our goal this year is to raise even more in honour of Hazel.

Beginning and ending at Port Credit Memorial Park, participants can choose from a leisurely 2 km stroll that is perfect for families with young children, or opt for the scenic 5 km route along the waterfront trail. After completing their chosen route, participants can enjoy the Family Fun Festival and celebrate Hazel’s incredible life with live entertainment, food and many child friendly activities to round out the day. Top fundraisers will be rewarded with incredible prizes.
