GR delivering a hand picked line up of the finest up and coming live bands across London and way beyond for your absolute listening pleasure. This month, we present a young and well gifted 5 piece Jazz band - The LOUIS WILDI and TOBY YOUNG QUINTET (LIVE), Free Entry, deep in our speakeasy jazz lounge at The CLF Art Lounge and Roof Garden.

GRASS ROOTS serving as a 1st Thursday monthly platform for promising artists to ‘polish their chops and play their own choons'. These fresh and fully inclusive sessions are a must attend for patrons and participants alike.

LOUIS WILDI and TOBY YOUNG QUINTET (LIVE) - Band on stage around 9pm, performing 2 Live Sets

This promising quintet is fronted by alto saxophonist Louis Wildi and Toby Young on trumpet. Emerging out of Trinity Laban, Louis and Toby thrived under the tutelage of distinguished educators such as Hans Koller, Mike Williams and Steve Fishwick.

The duo's original compositions and arrangements reflect their unique styles and inspirations derived from some of the jazz greats, fusing strands of bebop with textural and expressive notes.

They're absolutely thrilled to be joined on stage by drummer and Grass Roots regular Sacha Harlan, pianist Chris Outhwaite and bassist Oli Fitzgerald who all represent some of the UK's most exciting young jazz talent.

Grass Roots is a monthly live music affair which began life at The Vortex Jazz Club in March 2019 before briefly relocating to Notting Hill Arts Club in August 2021, now a resident monthly event at The CLF Art lounge
