TV COMEDIAN COMES TO SOUTHWELL
Funhouse Comedy Club retuns to the Saracens Head, Southwell on Thursday May 9th for a great night of laughter.
Headlining is Angela Barnes, who has appeared on TV's 'Live at The Apollo', 'Russell Howard's Good News' and 'Mock the Week'; as well as a number of Radio shows, including her own series on Radio 4 last year 'You Can't Take It With You'. With her confident sharp delivery and skilful, hard-hitting lines she leaves the crowd laughing all the way home.
Supporting will be musical stand-up Richard Morton, who has supported Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jo Brand, Lily Savage and Phill Jupitus on tour as well as having many TV credits to his name. This livewire Geordie comic is full of surprises and frantic energy, bounding around the stage like an overgrown child on a massive sugar rush and then entertaining his audience with his hilarious songs.
Also appearing is the engagingly affable Steve Day. Describing himself as Britain's only deaf comedian, his real-life observations are funny, frank and thought-provoking. His unassuming charm and natural wit keep everyone totally absorbed and wanting for more.
Completing the line-up will strangely charming Welsh man Morgan Rees, relating his cheery stories.
Compere for the night will be the chatty and cheerful Spiky Mike.
