Wikifactory has teamed up with desktop factory Mayku this month to launch a one-of-a-kind innovation challenge. Join the competition to design the perfect vacuum formed design for your products, and get the chance to WIN your very own Mayku FormBox. Transform your prototypes into a product line that’s ready to sell.

To enter, you simply need to create a new project whose enclosure or structural components can be made with the Mayku FormBox. You can also import one of your existing projects and fork it to create a vacuum formed version.

  • Enter the competition before 16 May: Start early as your entry will be judged as an entire product, not just the enclosure: Enter here: https://wikifactory.com/+wikifactory/mayku-challenge-template

  • The new vacuum formed parts need to increase the product's quality, reduce production time and costs, or add a new feature. Explain how vacuum forming improves your project compared to other manufacturing processes

  • All projects must include all the necessary documentation for anyone to be able to make and use the whole device. Fork this template project to make sure your project includes all the relevant information. Note: Concept designs alone will not be considered complete projects

  • Tell us what product category your entry fits into in your documentation

  • At least 50% of the design or key feature components need to be manufacturable with vacuum forming. You can combine vacuum formed parts with other technologies (CNC, laser cutting, and 3D printing)

  • Redesigning existing projects is allowed, but the user must be the original author

  • Include #FromOneToMany as one of your three project hashtags so we know you're part of this competition. Entries won’t be visible until you hit the “contribute” button
