This course offered at IRES is designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of how economic and social classifications are developed and applied in policy, research, and development contexts.
This course covers the methodologies used to classify economies and societies based on income, occupation, education, and other social factors.
Participants will explore the importance of these classifications in economic planning, social policy development, and data analysis.
Through real-world applications, case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to apply classification systems such as ISIC (International Standard Industrial Classification) and ISCO (International Standard Classification of Occupations) to achieve accurate and meaningful research, policy, and organizational strategy results.

Instructor-led training is delivered using a blended learning approach and comprises presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web-based tutorials, and group work.
Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience working as professionals and trainers in these fields.
All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. Therefore, the participants should be reasonably proficient in English.
Accreditation
Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued an IRES certificate certified by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA).
