Diablo franchise general manager Rod Fergusson and game director Joe Shely spoke with IGN about the game's extensive testing, end-game content, and live-service ambitions D2R ladder items. In spite of the way that the loved ones test brought about a forty-minute break, Fergusson alluded to Diablo 4 as "the game that I felt like has been more comprehensively tried than some other game I've been a piece of." That story is not actually told by us. Nonlinearity is allowed in our story, but there is a story. We desired a beginning, middle, and conclusion. We needed to begin and end our journey at a specific location."

He stated that Diablo 4 has "more of a branching story" and that players can replay the main game content in a different order for a different experience cheap diablo 2 resurrected items.
