Wotlk Arena PvP Comp Guide Wrath of the Lich King Classic
Instead of say oh this comp is excellent, try to prove this comp is bad, etc. I'll explain the factors that make a strong comp through this short video. There are a variety of factors that can make a team ideal or undesirable for an arena however, I'm going to be simplifying everything down to four factors including pressure . Number two is synergy. and third is control of crowds, and number four survivability.
A strong police officer will have all of these but, you don't need all four to make something work. The first step is pressure. This is simply applying the target with damage, possibly opening an kill window.
Many cops create pressure in different ways. For instance, Turbo leave creates pressure by eliminating all the buffs that are on the chilled target , while also taking a lot of damage along in conjunction with Mortal Strike and of course when you're shearing the healer. Since all three of those factors create so much pressure, they do not require CC to actually learn to kill.
There are other teams that rely more heavily on CC than damage DeLanda until these are often Spelke leaves, such as big lock Shaman. Since this team has so much crowd control it is not uncommon that you'll see a spell leave dominating the entire team, while searching for an appropriate target that is not in a good position.
Although these two teams play with very different methods, they produce the same outcome, which creates a lot of tension on the targets and the chance of landing in the tail. If a team isn't able to generate any pressure, it's likely they'll succeed in landing HL and therefore creating an unsound team structure.
There are numerous ways to distribute damage according to the team you are playing with. This is important to be aware of due to a variety of reasons. Let's suppose that you're looking to play a retribution Paladin. This is a spec that has a great amount of potential for the team, on top of decent sustained damage, and a powerful burst, but also lacking tons of CC. This makes them a great match with any class that shares a high amount of burst. They would perform better if the class also offered some CC create a marksmanship hunter a great choice for WoW Classic Season of Discovery Gold them.
