BIRKENSTOCK STUDIO ANNOUNCES FINAL ARTIST IN RESIDENCE AT BIRKENSTOCK’S CREATIVE HUB AND SHOREDITCH BASED STUDIO WALK WITH ME: MILES LANGFORD. EXCLUSIVE ONSITE CUSTOMISATION SERVICE OPENS

As BIRKENSTOCK concludes its 9 month-long program of spotlighting multi-disciplinary artists through its creative hub in Shoreditch BIRKENSTOCK Studio: Walk With Me, the brand announces the final artist-in-residence for October – renowned London-based tattoo artist and creative, Miles Langford. Running alongside Langford’s residency, BIRKENSTOCK Studio will introduce an exclusive customisation bar offering consumers a rare opportunity to take creative control of their personal pair of BIRKENSTOCK. Visitors can customise their footwear with a range of innovative techniques including embroidery, heat pressing, and pyrography.

 

MILES LANGFORD PRESENTS ‘THE BIRKENSTOCK SOCIAL’

Miles Langford, a London native and visionary behind ‘The London Social’ Tattoo Studio, has firmly established himself as one of the most renowned tattoo artists globally. Now, in an exciting project with BIRKENSTOCK, Langford has handpicked 9 top tattoo artists to join him in customising 10 pairs of the iconic and widely loved Boston clogs. These one-of-a-kind pieces will be displayed in a special exhibition ‘The BIRKENSTOCK Social’ – open from Saturday 5th to Sunday 6th October at the BIRKENSTOCK Studio.

Accompanying artists include: Miles- @mileslangford, Amelia - @ameliaatattoo, Victoria - @victoriatattooing, Math- @math.tattoos, Vera- @needlevvoman, Maddie- @mo__tatts, Kayla- @the_devlintattoos, George Rollo - @georgerollo, Isla - @islaronise and Tal - @talbooker. Commenting on the joint project at WALK WITH ME Studio, Miles Langford said, "The collaborative work with ‘The London Social’ and Birkenstock will not only showcase the versatility and artistic potential of tattoo art but also elevate the concept of personalised style. It has provided a fresh, innovative platform for tattoo artists to express their creativity beyond the canvas of human skin."

 

BIRKENSTOCK CUSTOMISATION BAR: YOUR BLANK CANVAS

From the first week of October, the customisation bar at the BIRKENSTOCK Studio will invite and encourage visitors to personalize their own personal pair of BIRKENSTOCK, empowering consumers and BIRKENSTOCK brand lovers alike to bring their unique creative vision to life – and allow to further engage with and around the unmatched footbed experience that the original BIKENSTOCK footbed delivers. Services and techniques include:

 

Heat Foil & Press
Using heat and pressure, customers can apply foil designs to their personal pair of BIRKENSTOCKS for a decorative, eye-catching look.

Embroidery
Traditional and modern sewing techniques will be available to create intricate, colourful stitched designs.

Pyrography
Using hot metal tools, customers can apply pyrography techniques to add a ‘tattoo-like’ effect to the footwear’s upper materials.

Rivets, Buckles & Eyelets
Customise the hardware on your BIRKENSTOCKS by swapping out or adding new rivets, buckles, or eyelets for a fresh, unique look.
