Your journey to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek begins with an early tourist bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara, the tourism capital of Nepal. You'll be captivated by Pokhara's stunning landscapes, which include beautiful lakes and impressive mountain views at an elevation of 820 meters (2,690 feet).

On the second day, you'll drive from Pokhara to Tikhedhunga via Birethanti, located at 1,039 meters (3,250 feet). The actual trekking starts in Tikhedhunga, where you'll follow a trail that winds through paddy fields along the Modi River, reaching Ulleri at 1,540 meters (5,050 feet) by the end of the day.

The third day's trek leads you to Ghorepani, at an elevation of 2,860 meters (9,385 feet). From Ghorepani, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna massifs, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Dhampas, Nilgiri, Barash Sikhar, and Machhapuchre (Fishtail).

The fourth day is special as you'll hike to the famous Poon Hill viewpoint, standing at 3,210 meters (10,525 feet). Waking up early, you'll witness dawn breaking over more than 32 ranges of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri mountains. After soaking in the magnificent views from Poon Hill, you'll trek to Tadapani (2,630 meters / 8,630 feet) for the night.

After a night in Tadapani, you'll set off early in the morning for Chomrong (2,165 meters / 7,105 feet). The trail passes through Ghandruk, descends to the Kirmron River, and continues to Chomrong, a popular overnight stop for ABC trekkers.

The following day starts with breakfast in Chomrong, followed by a trek to the Himalayas at 2,890 meters (9,425 feet). The path follows the Chomrong River through a picturesque village and ascends to the Modi River Valley, leading you to the Himalayas for the night.

On the seventh day, you'll depart from the Himalayas and hike to the Annapurna Base Camp, situated at 4,130 meters. ABC offers stunning views of glaciers and mountain ranges, including Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8,097 meters / 26,566 feet), Gangapurna, Khangsar Kang, Annapurna III, and Machhapuchhare. You'll spend the night at the Base Camp.

The next day, you'll leave the Annapurna Sanctuary, retracing your steps out of the Modi River Valley to Bamboo for an overnight stay. The following morning, the trek continues to Jhinu Danda (1,780 meters / 6,393 feet), where natural hot springs provide a relaxing way to soothe tired muscles.

On the tenth day, you'll depart from Jhinu Danda, following the Modi Khola to Ghandruk Phedi (1,150 meters / 3,770 feet). From Ghandruk Phedi / Siwa, a drive via Nayapul will take you back to Pokhara for a final night in the trekking region. The next morning, you'll return to Kathmandu by tourist bus.

Trekking to Annapurna Base Camp is not particularly strenuous, yet it offers the chance to witness the unparalleled natural beauty of the Himalayan Annapurna region, with the highest altitude at the base camp being only 4,130 meters. We invite you to experience the breathtaking Nepali landscapes by trekking to Annapurna Base Camp.
