Except JJ Arcega-Whiteside had 99 acc and Madden 21 coins Alshon went into practice style with two receivers with equivalent height and weight along with evaluations had 0. Alshon on the best is roughly one step short of where Arcega-Whiteside is about his side of the field. This was All-pro with pace parity. Here is the picture in reference. JJ also feels much smoother coming out of moves, Alshon takes a few seconds longer hitting his equipment than JJ does whilst perhaps not sprinting. Interesting! I am guessing they are running In paths here? Do their path evaluations compare? My aim in having the players run in a direct line was supposed to eliminate as many variables as possible, but it looks like I will need to generate a followup video to check into a lot of items, this!

I'm pretty sure I just notice the difference with RBs. Low Acc RBs do not have second/third gear and it shows when they get hawked down on long runs.I always felt just like my taller backs get caught less often. Idk it only believes that way.Someone mentioned height being a element in the YouTube comments, I certainly think I will have to look at a future video! Take my word for this, my big 6 ft encircle with 90 90 acceleration and speed get caught less then a Phillip Lindsey type back. But that's only if they reach full stride.

Testing players doesn't use acceleration ratings as much as it uses the release ratings. Yeah that is exactly what I had been thinking, he's gotta variable in release, for a backup RB Henderson has a RLS trigger, and I wonder whether DRR factors in on 9 paths too. That is a fantastic point, I never thought about that. But do release evaluations apply? I'll be honest I'm not 100% certain what release ratings do, but according to a single consumer on Google:"Release is how successful your receivers (RB/WR/TE) are against media coverage. The greater your release score, the better you are able to beat press coverage" Came here to say this as well. if anything I'd assume the HB would make it there later on a route. It matters when you've ball in hand and you also do some jukes ect.

A test conducted a couple of months back and reached a decision. Yes you are right that you are not likely to be able to discern the difference between a guy with like 95 accel and 87 accel. But if you do a test between 2 men keeping everything else constant having one player with another as well as 1 acceleration with 99 acceleration there is a difference. Even in the event that you go to like 70 accel vs 99 accel that you will have the ability to tell the difference. Obviously thats completely impractical and wouldn't ever be something you'd encounter, yet to say acceleration ratings are"literally meaningless" is a bit of a reach. I agree that they don't mean that much.

I appreciate the feedback guy! It's probably worth look into later on, although I guess it never crossed my mind to correct the player ratings to test the ends of the spectrum. With respect to 70 accel vs 99 accel, that was actually why I demonstrated that we could predict the separation based on their pace, though their stride evaluations were 24 points apart and set the Tyreek Hill vs Nick O'Leary evaluation in there from But you are correct, a more accurate title would likely be"acceleration ratings have a slight impact", but that's not likely to mut coins catch people's attention as readily!
