ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The growth of technological advancements in the field of civil engineering has created a great impact in the daily life. This National level workshop will act as a forum for researchers and practitioners in the advances and application of the emerging fields in computing.

This Workshop introduces Total Station usage to Civil Engineering students. This provides students a deeper understanding of Total Station surveying as well as technology and applications

OUTLINE OF THE WORKSHOP:

• Introduction to total station instrument about the total station

            operation, applications, advantages and disadvantages.

• Setting up of the instrument, Fixing the station point, Setting the

            instrument, checking the plate level, Instrument level, Tilt, Northing,

            observation.

• Boundary survey, Layout survey, Road survey, Topographical survey,

            Boundary survey, Topographical survey.

• Layout marking, Pile marking, Column Marking.
• Downloading all surveyed to the computer and implementing,

            Implementing the same in AUTOCADD.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Arjun College of Technology was established by Arjun Educational Trust, Coimbatore in the year 2013-14. The Department of Civil Engineering was started in the year 2013 with 60 students, it offers high quality education at undergraduate levels. It has a technically strong team of faculty members in all core expertise of Civil engineering who have been trained by industry experts on latest practices. The department offers highest degree of application oriented conceptual knowledge, exposure to emerging technologies, hands-on skills in latest hardware and real-time implementations for the students. The collaborative environment at the department inspires faculty, staff and students to reach their highest potential. The department has strong interaction with top IT and core industries. The department also offers the value added certification courses.

Our department has signed MOU’s with Srinivasan Associates Pvt. Ltd to provide On - Job Training to the students with live projects and Placement.
