Wondercide Puts Litterbugs on Notice! Company cleans up local towns in honor of Earth Day.

Wondercide is in the bug business and is putting bug populations everywhere on notice. The company is coming for them! This includes one kind of bug that really gets under the company’s skin – Litterbugs! Littering has far-reaching consequences beyond the cleanup cost, it can be downright dangerous. According to Conserve Energy Future, litter is a breeding ground for bacteria and can spread disease such as cholera and typhoid. Littering also introduces noxious waste into the environment that animals consume, which can lead to poisoning. 

“Wondercide exists to protect pets, people, and all the places they roam,” says Tracey Brooks Wondercide brand lead, “So we take an active stance against littering. Wondercide team members participate in trash pick-ups to help beautify the environment for the communities and our loyal families we call our pack.”

According to Keep America Beautiful, there are 50 billion pieces of litter along U.S. roadways and waterways or 2,000 pieces of trash per mile. That also means that there are 152 pieces of litter per resident so those litterbugs have been busy.

That’s why Wondercide teammates across the country are leading the charge to clean up and maintain areas in their local towns in honor of Earth Day and every day. It’s also why the company has participated in clean ups since its founding over 15 years ago with the goal of collecting a ton of litter each year.
