Women's LGBT+ Therapy Group

WOMEN'S LGBT+ THERAPY GROUP (ADULTS AGE 18+)
DATES AND TIMES: Begins Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and will meet
every Thursday (except holidays) for an ongoing group. People can join at anytime!

This therapy group is for adult women who identify their sexual orientation as lesbian/bisexual/pansexual+ and for women who are questioning their sexual orientation. Participants can range from being out of the closet for a long-time, those who are newly out, those who are not ready to come out, or those who cannot come out due to home/work circumstances.  
Group sessions will be focused on ways to increase healthy coping skills and improve mental health symptoms. Group topics will include but are not limited to: understanding sexual orientation, healthy dating and safe sex practices, relationships with partners/family/friends/society, self-esteem, effective communication, assertiveness training, stress management, mood management (anger, depression, anxiety), coping with discrimination or prejudice at home/school/work/society, advocacy/activism for LGBTQIA+ rights, LGBTQIA+ resources, and more!                    
This mental health therapy group is led by a licensed therapist and may be covered by your insurance.  Self-pay fee is $25.00 per session.
