Join The Atlanta Women’s Foundation for a session of Women on Board, a women’s leadership program focused on developing the skills of current and potential board leaders. The Women on Board program offers a series of workshop as well as connects women with local organizations seeking talented and trained board members. The next workshop is Level One and will take place May 17, 2019, from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm at the office of Troutman Sanders. The cost to attend is $150.
The Level One: Introduction to Nonprofit Boards workshop provides an introduction to the basics of nonprofit board governance, roles and responsibilities of board members, and how to find a board that is right for you. The workshop is designed for women who have either never served on a nonprofit board or are new to serving on a board.
Created in 2000, the program was designed to increase the number of women on nonprofit boards in Metro Atlanta by providing effective board governance training to Atlanta women and connecting participants to nonprofit organizations. Since its inception, the program has trained more than 3,500 women in board governance and leadership skills.
