Women Folk - Live Concert of Folk Music by Women, First Unitarian Church

The 6th Annual Folk Music Concert at the First Unitarian Church in New Bedford is titled "Women Folk" and will feature songs written by women. The program includes songs of many genres, including Spiritual, Appalachian, British and Contemporary. Performers will sing and accompany themselves on guitars or banjo. The church is a beautiful Norman-Gothic building on the corner of Union, County and Eighth Streets in New Bedford, MA, with parking in a lot on Eighth Street as well as on the street. This is a free event with donations gratefully accepted in support of the church. There will be a reception after the concert with coffee and goodies. Baked good will also be for sale.
