Based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, Peter and the Starcatcher is an immersive experience through the eyes of a young no-name orphan who finally finds his place in the world. Some might know him as Boy, but those who believe will know him by another name, Peter Pan. This play by Rick Elise and music by Wayne Barker features familiar childhood heroes and villains in the same place you know and love, Neverland. Follow a group of filthy orphans, doomed to be snake food at the hands of King Zarboff, who meet Molly Aster, an apprentice Starcatcher aboard the ship, The Neverland! This ship carries a very precious cargo, starstuff, a substance that can make you want you want to be. This unlikely group traverses the dangers of pirates, waves, islanders, mermaids, and strange fruit to find the meaning of home. This show, performed by students at Winston Churchill High School, is a reminder that not everyone has to grow up; it is okay to just live for a while. Join us on February 10th, 11th, and 12th on this journey to discover how Neverland came to be! Tickets can be found at wchsarts.com/theatre
