Wilde Subaru Frank Mots Int'l Kite Festival

On Saturday, September 10th, and Sunday September 11th, The Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois, along with Gift of Wings, are presenting the WILDE SUBARU FRANK MOTS INT'L Kite Festival..Presented by UW Credit Union, celebrating 43 Years, in Veterans Park on Milwaukee's lakefront. The event will begin at 10:00 am and run through 5:00 pm, both days,  with The GRAND LAUNCH of 600+ kites at NOON!   Now TWO great days of high flying fun!! 
 
I am excited to announce that  The Legendary Chicago Fire Kite Team from Chicago, will be performing once again, and for the second time, The NO KNOTS kite team will be taking to the field.  Fire and Ice, precision kite flying team, will  be performing three times each day during this event.  Milwaukee's own Mike Delfar will also be performing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXlsnXjvF2I.  
Yves Laforest, and the Canadian Dream team from Montreal, Quebec, will be making their 21st  appearance at Mots, flying the  2 NEW  MEGA WHALE KITES and the giant Octopus kite. The Octopus kite is 150 feet in length and 50 feet wide. 
We will  be giving away free kites to the first 100 kids that participate in the  UW Credit Union "KIDS MAD DASH".  Imagine 100 kids launching their kites all at the same time.   LOOK OUT!!   Brett Williams, the Kite Whispererer,  will be giving FREE KITE FLYING LESSONS.  Kites and food are available for purchase during the event at the Gift of Wings Kite Store.
 
This fun filled family event is FREE to all, with plenty of FREE parking.
