About Angela Verbrugge:
According to JazzTimes, Angela Verbrugge (pronounced ver-Bruges like the city of Bruges in Belgium) is a jazz vocalist who "possesses a winsome, brightly burnished, pliable voice, ample emotional intelligence, and considerable songwriting skills." The Kingston, Ontario-born, Victoria, BC-based vocalist caught listeners' ears with her debut album The Night We Couldn't Say Good Night released in 2019, and she won recognition as 'best female jazz vocalist' in the 2021 JazzTimes Readers' Poll The magazine's album review describes that Angela, who takes inspiration from vintage musicals, the swing era, blues, and bebop, possesses "conspicuously good taste". Toronto Music Report writes that the mother of three and cancer survivor is "a gem of a vocalist who makes all her chosen material sound magical.
Tom Arntzen:
A superb pianist and singer/songwriter, able to cover any style of music, Tom specializes in taking the great songs of the last 100 years and making them his own. Listeners are taken on a musical journey by Tom's superb musicianship and good taste. Every kind of song is fair game, from jazz standards to R AND B and pop. His own compositions are smart, catchy, and joyous, and his piano playing is powerful and elegant.

A full bar and food menu provided by Water St. Cafe at an additional cost. Reservation Fee is non refundable and does not go towards the bill. This is a charge for the artists.
