WAIT House invites community members of all ages to join the Walk for WAIT House on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 9:00 AM to Noon at the Glens Falls High School Track. This annual event is a fun, inclusive way to raise awareness and critical funds to support youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability in our region.
Since 2003, WAIT House has provided emergency shelter, transitional living, and wraparound services to youth ages 16-24, including young parents. The organization also offers mental health support through Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS), Health Home Care Management, and connections to resources at its Family Opportunity Center.
The Walk is not a race-it’s a celebration of community, compassion, and commitment to youth in need. Walkers can complete as many laps as they like at their own pace. The event will also feature field day-style games and prizes, music, food from Coach’s Corner Food Truck, and activities for all ages in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.
All participants will receive a complimentary event T-shirt. Can’t attend in person? No problem-remote participation is available! We’ll mail your T-shirt, and we invite you to send a photo showing your support from wherever you are.
Registration:
$25 - Adults
$15 - Youth (ages 4-12)
Free - Children under 4
T-shirts provided in standard unisex/men’s sizing.
Everyone is welcome-walk, run, skip, bring the kids! Teams and individuals can register in advance online. All proceeds directly benefit WAIT House’s programs and services for homeless youth.
