Join authors Bruce Ferber and Rocky Lang for a fun evening about the entertainment business, writing, and the ups and downs of working in Hollywood.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
Bruce Ferber is a multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominee, whose television writing and producing credits include Bosom Buddies, Growing Pains, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Coach, and Home Improvement, where he served as executive producer and showrunner. He turned to writing fiction with the 2012 publication of his debut novel, Elevating Overman, its audiobook voiced by Jason Alexander. His second novel, Cascade Falls, was published in 2015 by Rare Bird Books, and went on to win the Foreword Book of the Year Bronze Prize for General Fiction, and Gold Prize for Humor, Fiction. Ferber's essay, "Bright Lights, B-City," appears in the anthology Los Angeles in the 1970s.
Rocky Lang has produced, written and directed motion pictures, documentaries, television shows, movies-of-the-week, and miniseries. He recently executive produced Girl Fight for Lifetime Television and Racing For Time starring Charles Dutton, which received a Best Picture nomination by the Image Awards. Lang is currently developing The Patty Hearst Story at CBS. He has made five documentary films including the award-winning The Making of Tootsie and Spinners, which won Best Documentary at the Los Angeles Film and Script Festival in 2013. Directing assignments have included Remington Steele, as well as three features: Nervous Ticks, Race For Glory, and All's Fair. He produced White Squall, starring Jeff Bridges and directed by Ridley Scott, and the Emmy Award-winning Titanic, a four-hour miniseries for CBS. He is also the author of eight books, and coeditor of Letters From Hollywood: Inside the Private World of Classic American Moviemaking.
