+ From one of Providence’s last remaining wooden schoolhouses, to awe-inspiring Broadway homes, the WBNA House Tour invites you into the Victorian buildings that became home to thousands of immigrants on the city’s west side, and reveals untold stories that are at the heart of this neighborhood’s signature vibrancy. +

The WBNA House Tour curates a unique experience for curious visitors wanting to experience a neighborhood that has been touted as one of the city’s most intriguing by the New York Times, GQ Magazine and other national media.

WBNA's regionally recognized tour has become known for its fresh approach and out-of-the-box style that often touches on contemporary and compelling themes. This year’s tour, "This Is Where They Live/d," looks at Providence’s west side through the defining lens of immigration, as tour-goers explore the Victorian houses, schools, and buildings that became home to many thousands of immigrants – Irish, Italian, Armenian, Dominican, Cambodian, and Guatemalan, to name a few – over the past 180 years.

As with all WBNA House Tours, our ten featured homes and buildings are eclectic and compelling, offering the draw and thrill of remodeling and design shows while being entirely experiential. Visitors interact with history as they step inside one of Providence’s last remaining 1890s wooden school houses (now unique & artful residences), a church built for anti-establishment parishioners, & the grandiose and awe-inspiring Victorians visitors have come to expect from our tours.

Visitors will experience the places, people and history that have shaped not only the identity of the west side, but of the City of Providence as a whole.

Saturday’s self-guided tour (Oct 12) starts at 10am our Welcome Center, the renovated 1930’s porcelain clad enamel gas station that is WBNA’s Headquarters. For a special night out, come to the revelry-filled Preview Party the evening before, for all-local food (including oysters), drink, and art (Oct 11, 6-9pm)!
