Jacksonville Jazz Society Hosts 8th Annual Fundraiser for Students in Jazz

Celebrating our ten year anniversary, the Jacksonville Jazz Society (JJS) is a non profit organization comprised of Jazz enthusiasts dedicated to "Keeping Jazz Alive" through the preservation, promotion and presentation of Jazz music.  "In order 'To Keep Jazz Alive', it is important that future generations learn, appreciate and participate in this original American musical art form," says Na'im Rashid, JJS Founder, and his best friend the late Wayne H. Barlow, co-founded. 

The scholarship fund was established in 2011, to perpetuate the Jazz music art form by providing financial assistance to students who are entering or currently pursuing a degree in Jazz Studies at a college, university and high school seniors.

Additional event details: Complimentary Hors d'oeuvres with Cash Bar at 6PM. Door prizes, Silent Auction and 50/50 Cash Raffle. All ticket sales are final. No tickets sold at the door.
