Funhouse Comedy Club returns to the Century Theatre, Coalville on Saturday February 8th for another night full of laughter, as part of The Leicester Comedy Festival's Big Weekend.
Topping the bill is the intrinsically funny Lloyd Griffith who has supported Jack Whitehall and Rob Beckett on tour and is about to support Jack on his new 2019/20 tour. He has also and made numerous TV appearances including as regular host on Sky Sports' Soccer AM and on Comedy Central Live at The Comedy Store. As a choirboy in Grimsby, he sang on 'The National Lottery, with Dudley Moore who played the piano. Then later in life sang backing vocals on a Bee Gees album. A professional singer but always a natural jester he turned to stand-up and with his down-to-earth cynicism and lively attitude, he enthrals his audience.
Opening the night will be Michael Legge stand up, writer, actor and winner of the 2009 Chortle Best Off Stage Contribution for his blog. He co-presented the Absolute Radio Sunday show with Dave Gorman. With his unique sense of humour, sardonic rage and blisteringly funny stories he draws people into his world, leaving them with a sense of amazement.
Also appearing is Paul Ricketts whose intelligent humour covers all aspects of life including racial, cultural and satirical subjects; he mixes this with odd stories of everyday lunacy to amuse the crowd.
Compere for the night will be co-star of the recently released 'The ParaPod Movie' Barry Dodds, and winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards 2015, 2016 and 2017, who captivates everyone with his energy, spirit and tantalizing wit.
