Ms. Aparna Joshi

Aparna has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Mathematical Modeling and Simulation. She is currently developing a pedagogical platform for Climate Science as part of a project by International Science Council led by International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS). She had presented the project’s work in many international events including conferences organised by the United Nations.
She is Involved in many national and international level educational activities. Some of her publications related to climate change and education are published in international Scientific and Educational Journals. She is a member of “National Climate Assessment Report Task Group” led by Govt of India.
Aparna has previously worked with Physical Research Laboratory, India on the prestigious Indian Moon Mission: Chandrayaan-1. She has worked on the “International Grid Computing” project by CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Physics) at Pune university and on “International Virtual Observatory” at IUCAA (Inter University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics) India.
Aparna has authored many Popular Science Articles, Science-Fiction and Scientific-Stories in various newspapers and magazines in Marathi and English. She drives many Amateur Astronomy, Science Popularization activities and cultural activities for various groups in and around Pune. Aparna enjoys teaching and democratization of knowledge.
