51st annual meeting of the German Dermatological Society

Dear DDG members, dear colleagues,

The corona pandemic is still having a strong impact on life in Germany. The number of infections makes it very difficult to plan meetings safely.
It is not foreseeable whether the restrictions will be relaxed by April 2021. As a conference organization, we must take the special situation into account and protect the health of all participants as best we can. We have therefore decided to have the DDG conference 2021 take place purely virtually. This seems to us to be the only safe and predictable way.

We would therefore like to cordially invite you to the first virtual annual conference of the German Dermatological Society 2021 from April 14th to 17th, 2021!

Our program, which was already published in the preliminary program, will be retained as planned. However, we will limit the speaking times for the individual contributions and allow more space for interaction and discussion.

Highlights are the plenary events with outstanding speakers on new developments in our field as well as courses on practical aspects of dermatology. In addition, parallel events on special topics and the tried and tested track system for young dermatologists and as a refresher course for the young at heart are planned.

Thematic focal points are also deepened in the meetings of the DDG working groups. The ePoster exhibition with over 300 abstracts will give a clear overview of clinical and scientific developments in our field.

The participant prices have been adapted to the virtual format. The early bird deadline has been extended until February 9, 2021.
Of course, the 51st DDG conference will again be certified by the Berlin Medical Association. Selected content will also be available on demand after the conference.

It is our goal, with our major advanced training event, to convey the most important things from clinical dermatology and much more besides in a virtual atmosphere to you in the new format. Please also participate virtually in the discussions and give us feedback as to whether you liked the concept of the conference and which topics are of interest to you!
