This week UVI will be hosting long-time UVI partner, Victor-Catlain Toma, who has built the most successful youth organizing program in Romania, recently adopted by the European Union as a model for engaging rural youth. UVI has been working with Victor and others in an international exchange for some years. Victor was awarded grant funding to visit Idaho and work with us to develop US programing with the best youth organizers across the country. During his month-long stay, he will be visiting with people in Idaho and collaborating with leading youth activists to create a US Based Rural Youth Organizing strategy, platform, and program in the US. Saturday will be a very special opportunity to learn about how rural communities are pivotal to a thriving democracy, the crisis of young people leaving these communities and what investments and innovations are needed internationally and in the US.
Following a historic and impactful rural Democracy Summit with renowned leaders this week we will be featuring Victor-Catlain Roma, with the Rural Youth Village visiting from Romania who has built the most successful youth rural organizing program adopted by the EU to work with US rural youth to collaborate and build out a US Rural program that is esential to our collective health, well-being and the future of rural places like Idaho. Presenting will be Victor-Catlain Roma, Adrienne Evans, ED of UVI, and Kyle Barrow, UVI's Community Outreach Director, just back from a recent trip presenting UVI's work in Romania.
Following with be a timely and important tour of the Idaho Anne Frank Memorial.
