Unique Gifts for Christmas at Coolings by Keep it Local

If you like to buy unique gifts for your loved ones, this is the perfect opportunity to browse a huge collection of local artist's work. So much to see from over 90 stalls offering glassware, ceramics, woodwork, needlework, jewellery, scented home and beauty products, paintings, local and wildlife photography etc etc. Prices range from pennies to a few hundred pounds, so there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Coolings have been hosting this very popular craft fair since 2012 and it has been growing year by year - we'll expect over 5,000 visitors over the course of three days on the long weekend of 1st - 3rd December. The fair opens at 10am and closes at 4pm each day.

The event is part of a series of Keep It Local craft events being held at Coolings Garden Centre on Rushmore Hill in Knockholt. The stallholders are all genuine crafts people with handmade local products from Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Crafts and gifts such as bespoke silver jewellery, handmade soap and original paintings, biscuit kits, woodturned objects, leather bound notebooks and handmade cards and so much more! Organised by Anne Marriner and Sally Ross, the event give visitors access to quality, individual gifts and treats for all the family.

Anne said: "At our last fair, there was such a buzz and not a little surprise that such lovely items are within touching distance of us all. With transport costs so high at the moment, both from a money and environmental point of view, it is fitting that we should plan a series of events showcasing superb, high quality products from a selection of inspirational cottage industries right here in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. The energy, enterprise, commitment and enthusiasm of the craftspeople is plain to see. Good craftsmanship and design abound in this little corner of England - there's no need for you to travel miles for that very special gift, or indeed, for that very special gift to travel miles to you!"

There's plenty of free parking and all the delights of a fantastic plant nursery on hand - along with a warming drink and maybe a delicious slice of cake from the restaurant on site. Perhaps pick up a wreath for the front door or your Christmas tree too? There's a wealth of sizes and varieties on sale.
