OVERVIEW
If you do international business, you've probably heard of Incoterms — the international standard for determining responsibility between buyers and sellers.
Furthermore, it will explain why the exporter should be familiar with the Incoterms, which are defined as three-letter trade terms that define the buyer and seller's responsibilities in international business transactions. Finally, we explain what expected terms of sale are acceptable on shipping documentation to meet Customs assessment requirements.
The Incoterm and terms of sales will address the seller and buyer responsibilities by the type of sale transaction agreements that will affect the direct cost of making the export sale and clear Customs regulatory requirements.
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?
Exporters and importers may be unaware of which Incoterms are appropriate as shipping or delivery terms, as well as the standard practices for using the terms in an exporting environment. This exporting terms analysis will help explain why the buyer and seller must understand their obligations regarding goods delivery.
As a result, an exporter must be aware of the preferred terms to use as a seller and the preferred terms to use for buyers during the delivery process, because the terms will allocate each party's responsibilities and risks. We will also discuss the significance of the pricing and sales agreement in terms of sales from the perspective of a foreign buyer, their costs within the landing charges to the port of arrival. Finally, we will go over the various costs associated with storage and handling charges that may be incurred during the shipment process.
