The UConn Health Half is a flat, looping course through the charming Farmington River Valley community of Simsbury, Connecticut. It starts on Iron Horse Boulevard steps from the Simsbury Performing Arts Center with an 8 mile loop before passing by the finish area and heading back out for 5 more miles. Both loops travel along the base of the Metacomet Ridge and feature panoramic views of Talcott Mountain, the Farmington River, sprawling farms, and the iconic Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge.

BACK AGAIN FOR 2025: The ultimate state challenge...the Connecticut Double! Run the UConn Health Half in June and work up to the premier 26.2 mile experience in Connecticut at the Eversource Hartford Marathon on October 11. Take home the exclusive commemorative medal after finishing under the iconic Arch in Hartford.

HMF FitKids: Bring the whole family and enjoy the kids run with options of a ¼ mile, ½ mile or 1 mile (for kids ages 2-11)!

The charity partner for this event is the Connecticut Chapter of Achilles International. Consider making a donation or run, walk or volunteer with their group and support their mission to transform the lives of people with disabilities through athletics and social connection.

HMF CAN: Please help give back to the local community. Donate nonperishable food in the HMF Can tent near Packet Pickup to support the Hartford Public High School "Grub Pub", a School Food Pantry Program supported by Stop and Shop to help alleviate food insecurity in communities.
