Two days National Level Workshop on R Programming

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. It provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and nonlinear modeling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, classification, clustering,) and graphical techniques, and is highly extensible. The language is an important tool for development in the numeric analysis and machine learning spaces. With machines becoming more important as data generators, the popularity of the language can only be expected to grow. This workshop is arranged with the motto of providing the platform for acquiring the knowledge on R Programming. The workshop focuses on the following topics:

2. Data types
3. Data structures
4. Data handling and Functions
5. Basic statistics in R
6. Graphics in R
7. Statistical analysis with R
8. Advanced statistical modeling with R

ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
The college was established in the year 2000 by M. Kumarasamy Health and Educational Trust. Since its inception, it has been relentlessly serving the society by providing Technical Education to the urban and rural masses. It offers 7 UG and 7 PG courses with student strength of more than 4200 and staff strength of about 350. It has established itself as one amongst the best engineering institutions in Tamilnadu. The Department offers B.E. and M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering. It has renowned as well as young and dynamic personalities as faculty and involved in providing Quality Education. The Department conducts periodic workshops, seminars, symposiums and conferences to help the students, research scholars and corporate world to unite in a common place and thereby strengthen the Industry Institution fusion. Registration fee is to be paid by the way of demand draft in favor of “PRINCIPAL, M. KUMARASAMY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING”, payable at Karur. The Registration Form along with DD should reach us on or before 7.3.2016.

The college is situated at Thalavapalayam abutting the National highway (NH 7) about 15 km from Karur.
