Elvis Presley was rightfully recognized by TIME magazine as "The Artist of the Century" and since his untimely death he's attracted more devoted fans and loyal impersonators than any other performer in modern music history.

Today "Tribute Artists" as they prefer to be called, number in the hundreds and hail from all over the world, gathering in Memphis every August for "Elvis Week." They come in all shapes and sizes but the best are able to capture the wonderful sounds and range of "The King" while at the same time many even eerily looking the part.

The POPS ORCHESTRA shares in this world-wide admiration for one of the greatest singers who ever lived, and is pleased to have assembled a program highlighting some of "The King's" recorded music with full orchestra. Patrons will enjoying hearing "Love Me Tender," "You Ain't Nothin' But A Hound Dog," "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" and "Amazing Grace" in addition to others. Performing them will be Central Coast resident Tony Costa, a professional actor and entertainer. Portraying Elvis is only one of the many roles Mr. Costa has enjoyed throughout his career as he is also slated to begin a contract with "The Great American Melodrama" in April. But performing Elvis arrangements in full costume remains one of his favorites.

Tony made his first appearance as Elvis Presley in 2021 starring in Cuesta College's original productioin of "Refried Elvis." He also received an award for his portrayal of Elvis from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Since then he has made other appearances in the role including a solo concert entitled "Elvis: One Night With You." Tony's love, respect and appreciation for "The Artist of the Century" continues to be at the core of his entertaining and he considers every performance an honor to the man who has given so much to his public.
