"Passion, conviction and yes, soul...magic both in the lyrics and between the lines"
-WAMC-fm, Wanda Fischer

"Fure's strong vocals breathe amazing life into her songs...consistently conveys an energetic spirit and passion for life" -PERFORMING SONGWRITER

Award winner Fure's fine word craft, clear alto and stellar guitar light up 12 all-new songs that range from folk to country/folk, to swing, to jazz. "Lavender Moonshine" paints in earthy tones some simple moments, high profile cultural issues, deeply personal emotions, snapshots of social inequities or glimpses of home, and it shines with honest meaning and depth.

The personal and political intertwine in this outstanding collection. "The World's on Fire" rails against global warming; "The Great Backslide" is already spreading as a powerful and famiiiar pro-choice anthem. "It Was Meant to Be" and "Peanut Butter Toast" are sweet odes to a happy homelife; "The Great Backslide" is Fure's blunt and fierce anthem against the Dodds decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
Don't presume to have an answer
In my world you're not a dancer
You see things as black and white
Mostly white, so sure you're right
[from "The Great Backslide" by Tret Fure]

Enormously talented and influential in several musical arenas, Fure continues a long performing career that was was launched by an early recording collaboration with Spencer Davis, which propelled her first solo album Tret Fure.

One of the most prolific artists in the contemporary singer-songwriter arena, Fure began touring as a teen in the early '70s when women weren't welcome in most areas of music.
Her debut album came out two years later (with Bonnie Raitt lending a hand), and within
months Fure was working with some of the biggest bands of the era: Yes, Poco, and the
J Geils Band (long before "My Baby Is a Centerfold"). -CURVE

A prominent artist in the explosive growth of Women's Music, Fure found much acclaim both as a performer and a professional sound technician, recording such artists as Meg Christian, Holly Near and Cris Williamson (with whom she toured for many years as a duo) and other major stars from the days when Women's Music first hit the music scene. Her return to life as a solo artist put the spotlight on her own remarkable songs, and her captivating onstage presence.

Onstage her stories and songs flow seamlessly, her music a joy and her easy intimacy charming - bringing crowds and repeated standing ovations at this year's Old Songs Festival.

"Her rich alto has been a consistent yet adventurous ringing bell...Her wonderful sense of melody prevails and her emotions are out there on her sleeve." -DIRTY LINEN
