Fr. Joseph has spent 40 years working on developing economic justice, first by establishing the Peasant Association of Fondwa, then Fonkoze the largest microfinance bank in Haiti. For the 200 anniversary of Haiti's independence he established the University of Fondwa and is building a system to create wealth in rural Haiti. John Riggan, an expert on international development will dialog with Fr. Joseph on how his work can inspire us in Philadelphia. There will be a free will offering to support his work.
Fr. Joseph will also speak at FUMCOG's Sunday service at 10 AM on July 23 with a Q & A after the service.
