Incorporating GIS into monitoring and evaluation processes makes it possible to link or integrate information that is difficult to associate through any other means. Presenting data through maps enhances comprehension regarding spatial significance. Leveraging GIS for monitoring and evaluation enhances the efficiency of conveying results to management, funding partners, and beneficiaries. The objective of this GIS Technologies for M&E training is to make monitoring and evaluating easier and more informative when reporting the progress of projects and programmes.

Target Participants

This training is designed for professionals in projects/programs who want to apply GIS to improve their monitoring and evaluation systems.

What you will learn

By the end of the course the learner should be able to:

  • Gain an understanding of key concepts in M&E and GIS
  • Appreciate the new technologies being adopted in project monitoring and evaluation
