Introduction

Biopesticides refers to a pesticide which originates from natural materials such as animals, microorganisms, plants, bacteria, and certain minerals. In comparison with the conventional pesticides, biopesticides are less toxic, affect the target pest; they are effective in small quantities and decompose quickly. Furthermore, no destructive residue is left after a period of application of such a product. This makes biopesticedes the most environment-friendly approach in pest control management. This 5-days course will equip participants with knowledge on how biopesticides are made, advantages of using them, and their mode of action.
