Award-winning British sax player, music teacher and composer Tony Kofi emerged on the jazz scene in the early 1990s as a member of the Jazz Warriors. He plays alto, baritone, soprano and tenor saxophones and flute.
Kofi performs and records in the top flight having established himself over the years as an in-demand musician with the likes of Gary Crosby's Nu Troop, Jazz Jamaica, US-3, World Saxophone Quartet, Courtney Pine, Donald Byrd, Eddie Henderson, David Murray, Sam Rivers, Andrew Hill, Abdullah Ibrahim, Branford Marsalis, Julian Arguelles, Macy Gray, Julian Joseph, Harry Connick Jnr, Dr John, Byron Wallen's Indigo, Jamaaladeen Tacuma's Coltrane Configurations and Ornette Coleman.
