Historic Walnut Grove Farm is featuring Gabriel and Carol Trulson with Mike Terry, Jim Simpson and Morgan Simpson on Saturday, October 24th at 4:00 pm. As the final Tiny Barn Concert for the season, Walnut Grove Farm is hosting fine regional musicians. Blue Grass, country, blues and pop favs as well as original works will be performed. Tickets must be purchased in advance; go to www.TinyBarnConcerts.com for more information. Walnut Grove Farm is located ½ mile north of Carr Street in Knoxville Illinois.

Gabriel has been playing acoustic music for 10 years. He grew up in a house that was always full of music being played by family and friends. His mother Carol and he have teamed up to play a wide variety of music including folk, current and classic country and bluegrass which Carol "cut her teeth on". Gabriel plays a mixture of singer/songwriter and bluegrass using flatpick and fingerstyle techniques. Carol spent her formative years singing bluegrass with her family and later teamed up with her cousins to travel and sing a wide variety of popular music professionally. Carol is a hilarious entertainer as well as a musician.

Mike Terry, Jim and "Mo" Simpson are a trio called "Blue Room Unplugged". These guys are seasoned musicians playing a mix of acoustic light rock, classic country and bluegrass, and as friends of Carol's who have fun sharing their music, guarantee a great afternoon with their pals.

Only 40 tickets will be sold for this by-invitation-only concert. The event will be held in the National Register Farmstead's barn. Social distancing will be observed in the barn as tickets purchased together will be seated together. Masks are required for entry and when moving away from your group's assigned area. In the tradition of Walnut Grove Farm's Fall Drive offerings, Rich Wood will be making and serving his famous open kettle stew with corn bread and apple cider along with bread pudding and coffee for dessert. The tickets are $25 each and can be purchased in advance online, or by calling (309) 289-4770.

"This mini concert is a great opportunity to share the fun of the season with great music and friends in this classic barn with great acoustics. Get your tickets, now. We look forward to seeing you," states Jan King of Walnut Grove Farm.
