ABOUT THE ARTIST James Coplestone has been making art works of various kinds for nearly 30 years. Living in the rolling hills of West Dorset, England, his sculptures — based upon his love of literature are taking shape. Classic illustrations modeled in clay and then turned into bronze. He uses old tools and finger prints to press, move and model clay into position to capture the breath of the character... as if they have momentarily stepped out of the book into the three dimensional world.

ABOUT LEWIS CARROLL Lewis Carroll, the adored genius behind Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, was truly a man of many talents during the vibrant Victorian Era. Despite facing numerous challenges in his early years, including a persistent stutter he referred to as his "hesitation" and partial deafness in one ear due to a childhood fever, Carroll's determination knew no bounds. He not only excelled as a brilliant logician, authoring nearly a dozen books on mathematics and logic, but also showcased his artistic prowess through his captivating photography. Additionally, Carroll's dedication extended to his spiritual life, as he served as a respected Deacon in his church.
