London's community-powered festival is back. Co-produced by local residents in partnership with events producer Serious, Thamesmead Festival is a free, family-friendly festival that showcases Thamesmead's finest talent. With dance, music and poetry performances taking place across four stages, community stalls, as well as locally-produced food and drink available throughout the day, this is an unmissable summer celebration. Confirmed acts for 2023 include South London's mighty House Gospel Choir, soul and rock n roll musician Logan J Parker, jazz guitarist Edison Herbert, socially conscious poet Sam Castell-Ward and jazz, soul, RnB singer J Cocoa and much much more.
Funded by Peabody, which is putting culture at the heart of its long-term regeneration of Thamesmead, this year's festival will spotlight the young stars of tomorrow on the new Wanderlust Hill Stage, entirely programmed and co-produced by local youth collective The South East Way,
