TERRITORY DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGE

This first-of-its-kind event has gathered regional institutions, local actors, and Moroccan and international citizens with one objective in mind: To shine a light of innovation and make this region shine by developing an attractive, dynamic and digitalized territory!

Tempted by the adventure? Then strap yourself in for 8 weeks of call of projects, innovative emulation, up to $30,000 to win and a dedicated support to help deploy your solution, all with the aim of developing the emerging regions of Tetouan, Tangier, and Al Hoceima in Morocco.

How does it work?

3. Challenge launch day: May 6, 2022
4. Submit your ideas on the challenge platform and meet other participants
5. Deadline to submit ideas: June 30, 2022
6. Finalists announcement: July 6, 2022
7. Final pitches of the finalists and announcement of the winners: July 13, 2022

The solutions must address the following issues:
1. Territorial attractiveness: Tourism & culture / Health & well-being / Rural education
2. Sustainable economies: Green energies / Circular economy / Blue economy
3. Digital intelligence and transformation: Logistics & trade / Industry / Smart City

Prizes :
 1st Prize: 150 000 dh / $15 000
 2nd Prize: 100 000 dh / $10 000
 3rd Prize: 70 000 dh / $7 000 + dedicated support for your company
+dedicated support to develop the solutions, including access to financing and investor networks, public subsidies, advice and personalised support from the Region's Investment Centre.

Who can apply?
This call for projects is open to all! You don't need to have a company nor do you need to live in Morocco. Anyone can apply!
You can submit your idea, your solution or your skills by joining a project already submitted on the platform.
