Tap Social and Ryan Mold present Comedy at Lock29

Lock29 is set to host some of the UK's top comedians on April 15th, with bar operator Tap Social Movement teaming up with Ryan Mold of Atic Banbury to bring some of the finest names on the comedy circuit to town.

"We've been looking for ways to bring people together since we opened in May '21. Dylan Moran recently said that "laughter is perhaps one of the most frivolous acts of rebellion" and right now, we could all do with some of that. We are very excited to be working with another independent business, Ryan Mold Comedy, and can't wait to welcome everyone to kick back, laugh it up and of course enjoy some of our Criminally Good Beer! An Edinburgh fringe regular, Stephanie Laing's act has been described as a mix of silliness, goofiness, naughtiness, and unusual observations, underpinned by disarming honesty.

Having performed at well-known comedy venues across the UK, including The Glee Clubs and Jongleurs, Danny Ward's observational, endearing and up-beat comedy is easy-going and very, very funny.

Host Ash Frith, as seen on Tape Face, is a comedian, radio presenter and podcaster. Since his debut in 2011, he has performed with some of the best acts on the UK comedy circuit including being the support act for Russell Kane. 

Lock29's event space next to Tap Social is the perfect intimate comedy venue.  Come down to the bar before the event starts where you can enjoy a pint of Tap's own craft beer. There will be a short intermission to top up your drinks and to grab the best street food in Banbury from the brilliant Lock29 vendors, from authentic Mexican to handmade sourdough pizzas, South-East Asian inspired poke and buddha bowls, to Greek souvlaki, smashed burgers, and spicy wings.

Tickets are just GBP 10 and the event takes place on Friday 15th April.
Doors open at 6:45pm and the comedy starts at 7:00pm.
